Nextmol, a spin-off company of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, has joined NVIDIA Inception, a program designed to nurture startups revolutionizing industries with advancements in AI and data sciences.

Nextmol is a startup specialized in computational chemistry. Its mission is to help chemical companies in adopting computational techniques in their R&D to accelerate the design of better and more sustainable chemicals. The company develops a digital platform that provides molecular modeling and artificial intelligence for chemical innovation. It characterizes molecules directly on the computer and in an automated way, so that only the most promising candidates go to the laboratory.

NVIDIA Inception will allow Nextmol to deploy its technology in the most advanced GPUs on the market. Nextmol’s algorithms exploit the parallel manycore architecture of GPUs, providing excellent scalability and thus ensuring optimal computational performance. This will enable Nextmol’s users to run highly complex simulations and AI models that would not be possible with conventional hardware.

“We are excited to join the NVIDIA Inception program,” said Dr. Stephan Mohr, co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Nextmol. “We look forward to using NVIDIA’s technology to help our customers in the chemical industry to innovate faster and more efficiently thanks to digital R&D”.

NVIDIA Inception helps startups during critical stages of product development, prototyping and deployment. Every Inception member gets a custom set of ongoing benefits, such as NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute credits, marketing support, and technology assistance, which provides startups with the fundamental tools to help them grow.
