Sophorolipids are bio-based surfactants that are gaining momentum in home care due to their environmentally respectful nature. They are good candidates to replace traditional ingredients such as SLES.
In our article “Accelerating Detergent Innovation with Computational Chemistry”, published at SOFW journal 10-2025, we show how molecular modeling allows the accurate prediction of surfactants' physico-chemical properties, such as interfacial tension and solubility – which are directly linked to final product properties as foaming or cleaning power.
